The story of Purely Tallow begins with healing—my own. I can’t talk about this brand without first sharing how adapting an animal based diet changed my life. That journey unraveled years of physical and emotional struggle and brought me back to the basics of how we nourish ourselves—from the inside out. It was through that transformation that I discovered the power of tallow, and why it became the foundation of this brand.

I’ve always been the crunchy mom—the one who skipped store-bought cereal, said no to boxed birthday cakes, and filled our home with the most natural products I could find.
But despite the clean lifestyle I worked so hard to create, I was still struggling. I silently battled disordered eating, trapped in a cycle of cravings, anxiety, inflammation, and constant exhaustion.

Then one morning, after a particularly difficult few days and a run with my husband, I hit a breaking point. I needed more than clean labels—I needed true healing. So I started digging deep into the science: insulin, blood sugar regulation, inflammation, and hormone balance. That search led me to the carnivore community, and everything began to click.

I stripped everything back—no sugar, no processed foods, just real, nutrient-dense food. I started eating only meat, and for the first time in years, I felt grounded. The brain fog lifted. The cravings stopped. I wasn’t just functioning—I was healing.

How Purely Tallow Was Born

It was through the carnivore community that I first discovered tallow.
